Since it built its first apartment community in 1984, DHIC has maintained a firm belief that quality and good design can be combined with affordable rents. Our attention to quality has attracted appearance
awards from the City of Raleigh, the Town of Garner and Apex, Triangle J Council of Governments and the NC Housing Finance Agency.
DHIC now owns 25 apartment communities in Wake County and other areas of North Carolina, all designed to provide quality living at affordable prices. Five DHIC apartment communities are restricted to households with a family member 62 years of age or older, one is restricted to very low-income and formerly homeless singles, and the remaining are open to households of all ages.
DHIC has two property management partners:
Community Management Corporation (CMC) was established in 1972 and has considerable
experience marketing, leasing and managing multi-family housing communities like those DHIC develops. CMC currently manages 186
properties, totaling over 7,500 units. Twenty-three of these properties are DHIC's. The best way to find out about vacancies is to
contact CMC directly at (919) 981-0060, extension 131.
Drucker and Falk, LLC Founded in 1938, Drucker and Falk is one of the oldest
and most prestigious investment real estate services firms in the nation, managing nearly 25,000 apartments throughout the souteast.
Drucker and Falk currently manages two DHIC properties: Carlton Place
and Madison Glen.
Residency at DHIC apartment communities is limited to households that meet certain income restrictions, which generally is below 50% - 60% of the Area Median Income for the particular county in which the community is located. Income limits are based on household size and are updated annually.
Current 2008 annual income limits for Wake County are listed below. As these figures are subject to change, it is best to contact the specific property manager to confirm the income limits that may apply to you.
