Honoring Sheila Porter’s Legacy
After more than two decades of dedicated service, Sheila Porter, Vice President of DHIC’s Homeownership Center, is retiring at the end of this month.
Sheila joined DHIC in 2000, and in her role as VP, has managed all aspects of Homeownership Center operations, compliance and service development and delivery. She has a passion for seeing individuals and families empowered, equipped and encouraged as a result of the homebuyer education.
Her work has touched the lives of thousands of families in our community, helping them achieve the dream of homeownership. We are thrilled to celebrate her incredible legacy and contributions to DHIC and the Homeownership Center.
Sheila would love to see her work continue. Consider making a gift to the Homeownership Center's Downpayment Assistance Fund to help us reach our goal of raising $300,000 by the end of the year. Our Downpayment Assistance Fund bridges that gap—giving first-time homebuyers, like Mr. Watson and Mrs. Thai, the boost they need to achieve the dream of homeownership.
Thank you Sheila for dedicating your work to this important cause, we’re so grateful for your service to our organization, and to our community.
